24th Palmdale turned 49 years young!
They had a nice small reception and served cupcakes and
punch
They had 3 speakers, 1of them being
our 1st Major who is now 92 years young, Mr. Larry Chimbole.
the Cultural Center has been named after him
Also Council member Laura Bettencourt spoke
Also plus forgive me as the 1 man who did the announcing
did not have a name tag on or introduce himself as most of the
room
seem to already know him. He is a long time Palmdale employee.

I got to speak with Ms. Bettencourt and she explained the
city council meetings are the 1st Wed of every month and at the
end of the meetings reg. citizens can sign up and have a few min
to speak.
It was a nice 49th Birthday Party for the city
and it was nice meting Council
member Laura Bettencourt
Who like myself and my family she and her family have also moved
here
in the mid 80's so it was nice reminiscing of old times
and place long gone. she seems to truly care about the City Of
Palmdale!
It was also a milestone day for AVHometowne too!
